VALBEMAR KOPI GAJAH KAYUMAS (Maragogype Coffee)

ValBeMar Kopi Gajah Kayumas is more typically known as Maragogype Coffee. Even though the bean is still categorized as Arabica, its size is larger than its peers, hence the Indonesian name Kopi Gajah, which translates to “Elephant Coffee”.

The enlarged size of Kopi Gajah is attributed to the process of genetic aberration that occurs naturally at the time of the bean’s conception. There are only several places in the world that grow this type of coffee bean. ValBeMar is proud to be delivering beans sourced directly from Kayumas Java Coffee Plantation.

Like ValBeMar Kopi Lanang Kayumas, our Kopi Gajah Kayumas has a unique taste with high acidity, medium body, and intense aroma when compared to other coffee variants. Ours is grown in the area of Ijen Mountains of East Java at a height of 1,000 – 1,500 meters (3,300 – 5,000 feet) above sea level.

At ValBeMar, all of our beans are processed through the UTZ Certified‘s Wet & Wash procedure, which utilizes their high quality assurance management system to guarantee superior quality and extraordinary taste. View our list of certifications here.
